After seeing how much people enjoyed my original Vault Boy Sammie artwork at Halcy-Con, I knew I wanted to expand the series with several more Starcruiser personalities. Raithe immediately rose to the top of the list.

I realized we were probably going to get along within my first ten minutes aboard the Halcyon. I had attempted to hack a terminal simply because I could, and suddenly I had a message from Raithe. That single interaction perfectly established who he was: clever, observant, and always several steps ahead.

When designing this piece, I deliberately focused less on Raithe as Gaya's manager and more on Raithe the scoundrel. His confidence, humor, and effortless charm fit almost perfectly into the optimistic propaganda style of classic Fallout artwork. It became less about parody and more about imagining what one of those cheerful recruitment posters might look like somewhere in the Star Wars galaxy.

And while the official story says he's only trying to recover the Hyananea Stone for the people of Ryloth... I have a feeling he probably found a way to earn a few extra credits along the journey.

Some mysteries are better left unsolved.
