"Beyond Tomorrow" - A Mid-Century Inspired Halcyon Artwork Premiering at Halcy-Con 2026

We’ve been quieter than usual around here for the past several months while life pulled our attention in several directions at once, because apparently one direction would have been too convenient.

It feels very good to be making things again.

And the first big thing on the calendar is Halcy-Con 2026.

This October, 5th & Rugged is returning to Halcy-Con as Stellar Voyages, and pre-orders are now open for event pickup.

We’ve got new work, returning favorites, an expanded Starcruiser collection, stickers, magnets, and a few things we’ve been quietly building specifically for this community.

Beyond Tomorrow - Halcyon Starcruiser retro-vintage art print

Beyond Tomorrow

One of the pieces leading this year’s collection is Beyond Tomorrow, a new mid-century-inspired print built around the optimism, elegance, and impossible promise of the Halcyon.

It’s also the piece currently greeting visitors on our homepage, so yes, we may be a little attached to it.

There’s something about the Halcyon that has always lent itself to that kind of visual language: sleek lines, hopeful futurism, impossible destinations, and the sense that somewhere beyond the window there is always another story waiting to happen.

Beyond Tomorrow leans fully into that idea.

The Light We Carry Still Halcyon Starcruiser Lightsaber Duel Finale Art Print

The Light We Carry Still

This year’s Halcy-Con exclusive, The Light We Carry Still, has a little more history behind it.

It grew out of A Moment of Many Paths, a piece from earlier this year built around the idea that the Halcyon was never really defined by a ship, a building, or even the story being performed around us.

It was defined by the thousands of small choices, encounters, friendships, ridiculous decisions, and unexpected moments that happened inside it.

The Light We Carry Still comes from what happened afterward.

The Halcyon is gone, but the community that formed around it very much isn’t.

People kept finding one another. They kept making things. They kept building costumes, telling stories, preserving memories, organizing reunions, creating new characters, and carrying pieces of that experience into whatever came next.

That’s really what this piece is about:

the things that survive after the place that created them is gone.

It felt like the right piece to make specifically for Halcy-Con.

Fallout-inspired First Order Recruitment Poser

The Vault Boy Crew Keeps Growing

We’ve also expanded our Starcruiser-inspired Vault Boy series with three new pieces.

One of them is We’re Looking for You, our aggressively helpful First Order recruitment poster starring Lieutenant Croy.

Croy is joined by new pieces featuring Raithe Kole and the Saja, with all three available as prints along with stickers and magnets — because apparently taking beloved Starcruiser characters and running them through the cheerful machinery of retro propaganda remains something we find extremely entertaining.

We regret nothing.

And yes, we’ll be giving the Saja and Raithe pieces some attention of their own soon, because there is far too much nonsense packed into those posters to bury them in a paragraph.

How Halcy-Con Pre-Orders Work

Pre-orders are open now for pickup at the Stellar Voyages booth during Halcy-Con 2026. Event admission is required for pickup.

Select items include special Halcy-Con event pricing, and eligible paper prints can also be combined through our Halcy-Con print bundle:

  • Choose any 2 eligible paper prints and save 10%
  • Choose any 3 and save 15%
  • Choose 4 or more and save 20%

We built the bundle because buying one thing is sensible, buying several things is apparently how conventions work, and we decided to stop fighting it.

Pre-ordering also helps us solve one of the least glamorous parts of being an artist at a convention: figuring out how many of everything to print without accidentally constructing a small warehouse in the hotel room.

And because apparently we’re incapable of doing anything the simple way, Halcy-Con pickup orders will also come with a little extra fun: any pickup order of $25 or more receives one complimentary Gaya: Neon Hyperdrive print. Spend $25+ and choose a 5×7, or spend $50+ and choose an 11×17 at pickup, while supplies last.

We’ll be finalizing our primary print order soon, so if there’s a particular piece or size you know you want waiting for you at Halcy-Con, ordering early is the best way to make sure it’s there.

We’ll keep pre-orders open after that order is placed, but availability may become limited to the quantities we know we’ll physically have on hand.

See You at Halcy-Con

There’s more coming.

We’ve got more new artwork to share, more details about what we’re building for Stellar Voyages, and several things currently sitting on worktables looking suspiciously unfinished.

But for now, the Halcy-Con 2026 collection is live.

If you’re joining us in October, we’d love to have your order waiting for you at the booth.
